My Dark Surf Poem

Sleepy, sloshing waves growing forceful as they wake

Shiny, slippery surfboard sliding around in its grasp

Long, green arms reaching from below

grabbing flailing limbs

People swimming against rips

trying to not get dragged out to sea

Arms breaking the surface

waving for help

One

by

one

sinking under the water

never to be seen again

People running to help

cut by sharp knife-like shells

Voices scream in the waves

getting louder and louder

                                                       G

                                                     I

going  H          than others

People  getting devoured

 By ravaging waves
