Activity 1: Hairy Maclary
“Out of the gate and off for a walk went Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy…”
He went to visit the Vet to taunt all the cats who were there. He shook his tail at them through the window and then looked for all the dogs at the Vets too. He took them some bags of dog food that he found inside the Vets when the people weren't looking.
Then he went to find some of his friends and play in the park. They chased some of the cats there and made them run up the trees. After this they went to the Barbers shop to see if they could get their hair cut as they were hot in the sun. The Barber's shop was not busy and they had time to get their hair cut and then they visited the toy shop and secretly stole some toys to play with in the park.
They had a squeaky bone toy and a rubber ball.
Rain clouds started to appear in the sky so they all said goodbye and went home to sleep.

ReplyDeleteThe Hairy Maclary in your story sounds like quite a cheeky and mischievous dog! My favourite part is how the dogs went to the barbers to get their hair cut! I thought that was quite clever. It made me laugh imagining Hairy Maclary and his friends all getting their fur coats cut at the same time.
I think your blog posts are just getting better. You have written a story that makes sense and I am able to follow your thinking. Something in particular that stood out with this blog post compared to your other blog posts is that you have taken your time to think about your writing and add more detail. Its great to see you have written nine sentences! Super work!
Who were Hairy Maclary's friends and how many got their haircut? I hope the barber did a good job of cutting their fur!!
