Choose two key events and find out some more information about what happened on those days.
Event 1. 13th September 1940 Italians invade Egypt.
The Italian invasion of Egypt was done by Italy against forces from the Commonwealth and Britain. The goal of the invasion was to seize control of the Suez Canal. The 10th Army advanced into Egypt.
Event 2. 16th December 1940 Egypt cleared of Italian forces.
This is the date that Egypt was cleared of Italian forces. There were a lot of people who were injured and died but most of the tanks survived.

I never knew their were troops in Egypt or that Egypt was ever invaded during the war. Thanks for sharing this information with me.
My face always turns at the thought of war. It is definitely sad thinking about all the lives that have been lost because of war. I think the world could be a happier, kinder and more unified place if there were no wars. I wonder what some things are that people can do to make the world a better and kinder place to live in. What are some of your suggestions?
